Budgie symposium

We the Flemish budgerigars club, have already a long time the idea of organizing an annual contact day. One day on which all breeders can subscribe to various topics as innovations and other issues related to our hobby. A day to also optimize relationships in an atmosphere of conviviality during lunch or in the café.
Our parent club, the Dutch budgies club, held in October 2008 a major budgerigars symposium and in imitation of this great initiative we introduce it now in Belgium, so we will have on our first contact day a budgerigars symposium.
That we will set the bar high marks in the following program, a solid chunk of experience, knowledge and vision are the main ingredients.
Budgerigars symposium 2010

Program:
10.00 hours, reception with coffee and biscuits
10.55 hours, opening of the symposium by the chairman.
11:00 hours, lecture, stud or collection, by Harry Hockaday(Eng)
A lecture on the construction of a stud by visual matings with cocks. Beautiful presentation and very interesting talk on building a stud!
12.00 hours, lunch
If that was a solid bite, then the next thing will definitely be, lunch!
Cozy dining with friends at a menu with three courses, soup, potatocroquettes with chicken or beef and a wreath of vegetables, and ricepudding for dessert on Mothers manner.
13.45 hours, lecture, Palyomavirus and beak and feather disease, bij vet Björn Geeroms
After a hearty meal and certainly much chatter, we have a very serious issue.
These two diseases gradually take possession of our studs and have similar symptoms and are therefore difficult to distinguish and in the worse forms eventually fatal. For more clarity here we have to get a professional and here comes our vet Bjorn Geeroms, using his experience as a vet gained mainly in the Loro Parque Tenerife.
15.00 hours, film of Harry van Doorne, Jac Cuyten & Co., a view to the future
It does not has to be all misery, and this is what we can see in the beautiful film that Harry van Doorne has made in the loft of this partnership. Here you can see what the right vision can bring and therefore the title is so perfectly chosen, a view to the future, Harry gets from me already the Oscar for best film. Judge for yourself and enjoy!

Summary:
The lectures and a trailer of the movie are put on DVD, which you can take home for reference. The symposiumdag officially ends at 16 hours, but you can talk about it in our cafeteria that speaks for itself. There are also some places in the room provided for the sale of all bird supplies. Give your cooperation with this particular initiative in the form of a breeder ad for 25 euro and enjoy one years time your ad on all the activities and publicity channels of VGC for 2010 and there a lot!
